India and China held negotiations after a border deadlock between the forces of two countries near eastern Ladakh.

Indian news sources say that India had requested the talks to be held that took place at the Border Personnel Meeting Point in Maldo on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh.

Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, Commander of 14 Corps led the Indian delegation whereas the Commander of the Tibet Military District led the Chinese delegation.

Indian Army stated that Indian and Chinese officials continue to be engaged through military and diplomatic channels to discuss the ongoing circumstances in the India-China border areas.

According to the Indian news sources, India said its normal patrolling is being hindered by the Chinese army along the LAC in Ladakh and Sikkim. It also refutes the Chinese motive that increasing tensions between the two armies created due to the intruding of Indian forces across the Chinese side.
