US President Donald Trump has promised not to order Americans to wear face masks to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
He spoke after the top health expert Dr. Anthony Fauci insisted all the leaders to be “as forceful as possible” in ordering people to wear masks.
He said that wearing face coverings is “really important” and “we should be using them, everyone”.

Various state governors have ordered the public to wear masks outdoors, rather than a personal choice.
Mr. Trump spoke to Fox News on Friday. He said that he did agree to make face masks mandatory, people should be granted “certain freedom”.
He had worn a face covering for the first time last Saturday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) earlier this week released a statement in which it advised the people to cover their faces.
“We are not defenseless against COVID-19,” CDC Director Dr. Robert R Redfield said. “Cloth face coverings are one of the most powerful weapons we have to slow and stop the spread of the virus – particularly when used universally within a community setting.”
