With recent media coverage covering Meghan Markle’s court case generating national headlines, remarks from the former royal seem to have hurt the Queen ‘s feelings deeply.
While speaking about the issue, the Royal author Phil Dampier said,
“I think the Queen is going to be absolutely devastated by this. She’ll cope with it but she will feel desperately betrayed.”
He further added,
“She broke with protocol to invite Meghan to Christmas at Sandringham before they were married, and the couple ended up with a beautiful multi-million pound home in the middle of Windsor Great Park.”
The Queen has consistently broken royal rules for Meghan, from welcoming her to Sandringham Christmas celebrations long before she was formally married to granting the pair a multi-million pound home in the middle of Windsor Great Park.
After everything Queen Elizabeth has done for Meghan, “some will be wondering: what more did they want?”
Keeping all that in mind, many royal fans wondered if Meghan’s statements in the royal household to feel ‘vulnerable’ and ‘unprotected’ was a dig at the monarchy. This does not seem to be the case, however.
According to a source, Meghan’s anger is actually targeted at her former communications team, based in Kensington Palace for not protecting her from biased media hate. Talking of their own fears, the source said, “no one thinks this is going to end well. For anyone.”
