Thousands protested in the eastern Russian city of Khabarovsk against the arrest of a local governor.
According to political experts, the rally in the city of Khabarovsk on the Chinese border could be a headache for the Kremlin.
Protests have been going on for the past week in the Russian city.
It should be noted that the popular Governor Sergei Fergal was suddenly arrested in the investigation of the murder.
Hundreds of protesters rallied in support of the arrested politician, chanting anti-Putin slogans and carrying banners.

According to the reports, protesters, young and old, marched in temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius for the governor’s release.
In addition, small rallies were held in nearby towns and cities that lasted for several hours.
Protesters gathered at the residence of the regional administration and chanted slogans like “Free the governor”.
Demonstrators praised the role of the detained governor, saying he had done a lot for the area in the past two years.
“I support the governor because he has done an exemplary job for our region,” said a 49-year-old protester.
“The governor’s arrest is a political one-sided reaction,” one source said.

“We want the governor released, we need him because we elected him,” he said.
Navalny, Russia’s main opposition leader, encouraged the protests.
Navalny said on Instagram that an entire city refused to believe the Russian president’s endless lies about the “justice” of his courts and his “election honesty.”
