The former chief minister of Indian Occupied Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has accused New Delhi of heightening security and surveillance to make sure the anger of people remain hidden.

Mehbooba Mufti was illegally detained last year as Article 370 of the Indian constitution was imposed in IOK. She took to Twitter to express her concern. Her daughter is using the account.

“Suddenly, there is heightened security and surveillance in the valley. Not like non-discriminatory COVID virus will be more active in the days approaching 5th August so clearly this is being done to ensure that anger and frustration felt by people here remain hidden”.

On the other hand, Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi demanded justice, he demanded Mufti be released from illegal detention.

“India’s democracy is damaged when GOI illegally detains political leaders. It’s high time Mehbooba Mufti is released,”
