On Wednesday, the Embassy of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Islamabad donated 4000 hand sanitizers’ bottles and 300 reference books to the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU).

To fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the UAE Embassy started a hygiene campaign “Let’s give everyone a clean hand”. The initiative was part of the same hygiene campaign.

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi, had inaugurated the campaign at AUQ and distributed hand sensitizers. According to the details, different universities, schools, and colleges of Islamabad will be covered by the campaign.

The Vice-Chancellor of QUA, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, appreciated the efforts of the UAE embassy and showed gratitude towards the government of UAE for their donation. Along with his team, the VC briefed the Ambassador about the University and also discussed the future cooperation possibilities in the field of Higher Education.

On the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador Al Zaabi stated that the UAE government has always given importance to Pakistan’s health and education sectors. He further said that UAE will always stand consistently with the people of Pakistan.

The Ambassador also said that the campaign “Let’s give everyone a clean hand” is an initiative by the UAE Embassy to help the Pakistan government’s efforts to fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Ambassador highlighted that UAE and Pakistan relations are based on political, economic, and trade relations, defense and security ties, cultural cooperation, and exchange of experiences.
