Mecca: Social media footage showed a car crashing into one of the external gates of the mosque; local media confirm no injuries.
On late Friday, an incident occurred in which a driver by breaking the barriers placed a few meters ahead from the Mecca gate rammed his car into the exterior gate of Grand Mecca Mosque.
A driver rammed his car into Door 89 of the Grand Mosque in Mecca (Masjid al-Haram) at 22:25pm Saudi time.

As per the reports, no fatalities and injuries are caused yet however some of the videos on social media depicted the sight of people and security guards trying to push away the vehicle from the mosque’s outer-perimeter gate.
It’s said that the car owner, is a Saudi resident, and currently detained for investigation also referred to the state government.
The Grand Mosque of Mecca has restarted its congregational prayers after a seven-month halt that happened due to the corona-virus.
As per the reports, on Sunday the foreign nationals are expected to perform Umrah.
