A statement issued by the and Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that in the first week after the release of the ‘Etamarna’ app, the ministry has approved the requests of at least 1,08,014 locals and foreigners to perform Umrah.

In one week, the government approved applications from 41,873 locals and 65,128 foreigners for Umrah, the statement said.

The statement further said that in the first few hours after the release of the ‘Trust’ application, 16,000 people registered for it. By the end of the week, the number of people registering on it had reached 309,686. 224929 basic registrants and 84757 subscribers registered in the app.

Most of the people registered on the ‘Etamarna’ app are between the ages of 51 and 60. This includes 8% of registrants between the ages of 41 and 50, 17% between the ages of 20 and 30, and 26% between the ages of 31 and 40. 35% of people are over 60 years of age.

It may be recalled that two weeks ago, the government of Saudi Arabia announced the resumption of Umrah rituals from October 4. The government has completed all necessary preparations and arrangements for the restoration of Umrah rituals since yesterday.
