Prince Charles Launches Clothing Brand

With the initiative to create a high-end ‘sustainable’ clothing brand, Prince Charles has joined the fashion industry.

The 71-year-old Royal Foundation partnered with the Italian retail chain Yoox Net-A-Porter. It aims to introduce a collection of 10 New Artisan pieces sounding like pop music.

The foundation of Charles stated that “The Modern Artisan project was born out of a mutual interest in sustainable fashion between HRH The Prince of Wales, president of The Prince’s Foundation, and Federico Marchetti, chairman, and CEO of YNAP.”

The collection will be influenced by the “convergence of art and science”. And it will be released to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci’s death.

The non-profit organization told, “Sustainability is at the very heart of the collection, reflecting the shared values of The Prince’s Foundation whose President, HRH The Prince of Wales, has championed action for a sustainable future for more than four decades”.

“The result is a sophisticated collection that marries formal lines and simple construction,” the foundation concluded.
