The government of Saudi Arabia has ordered to deport around 1500 Pakistanis. The government is conducting an operation against illegal immigrants residing in the country.

As a result of this crackdown, which has been going on since 2017, about 4.5 million illegal immigrants have been deported from Saudi Arabia so far, including millions of Pakistanis.

According to sources, due to rising tensions between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the government orders the deportation of 1500 Pakistanis. They were stranded in Saudi Arabia due to non-availability of flights, sources told.

The overseas ministry has requested the aviation department to arrange and allow special flights to bring the deported Pakistanis back.

However, Pakistanis government is now planning to bring back the stranded residents via special flights.

Earlier on November 18, a convoy of Pakistanis deported from Saudi Arabia reached Karachi via a special flight of Saudi Air.

According to Karachi Airport sources, 160 Pakistanis deported from Saudi Arabia were sent to Pakistan by Saudi Air flight SV708.

Separate queues of deported Pakistanis were lined up and health declaration cards were received from them. After which the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) allowed them to go home after taking necessary action.

A full screening of these passengers was also conducted at the airport.

Moreover, it should be noted that thousands of Pakistanis are deported from Saudi Arabia every year. Those involved in various visa violations are first transferred to Jeddah’s Shamsi Prison, known as the Immigrant Prison.
