The vaccine developed by the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm for “Covid-19” was officially registered in the UAE on Wednesday, according to an announcement by the UAE Ministry of Health.

This step has been taken at the request of the said Chinese company. The decision reflects the confidence of UAE health officials in the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.

The UAE Ministry of Health had reviewed the results of the third phase of the vaccine experiment by the Chinese company Sinoform. According to these results, the effectiveness of this vaccine against covid-19 is 86%.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Ministry of Health had decided in September this year that the vaccine would be provided under the Emergency Use Permit. The aim is to ensure the safety of front-line workers during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Note that the third phase of the vaccine trial was attended by 31,000 volunteers from 125 countries in the UAE.
