The New United States Administration said that it is ready to join talks with Iran on 2015 nuclear deal.
According to the media reports, the Joe Biden Administration has also reversed the Trump administration’s determination that all U.N. sanctions against Iran had been restored.
Moreover, the new administration also eased rigorous restrictions on the domestic U.S. travel of Iranian diplomats posted to the United Nations.
State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement that Washington would accept an invitation from the European Union to attend a meeting of the participants in the original agreement.
“The United States would accept an invitation from the European Union High Representative to attend a meeting of the P5+1 and Iran to discuss a diplomatic way forward on Iran’s nuclear program.” Said Ned Price
Washington, in another move; said that the administration has eased extremely strict limits on the travel of Iranian diplomats accredited to the United Nations.
The Trump administration had imposed the severe restrictions, which essentially confined them to their U.N. mission and the U.N. headquarters building in New York.
It should be mentioned here that the Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif warned new American leadership unpredictable consequences if failed to live up to commitments under the nuclear deal.
The Iranian Foreign Minister in his message on account of National Day of Iran said that new Biden administration has to return to compliance with the 2015 nuclear agreement because Washington is the party that abandoned the deal and violated its terms.
He said, “With the new Biden Administration there is an opportunity to try a new approach, but the current window is fleeting.
The Iranian FM said that,
Soon my government will be compelled to take further action in response to the American and European dismal failure to live up to their commitments under the nuclear deal.
