Abraham Accords: Trump’s Son-In-Law Jared Kushner Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

A pro-Donald Trump lawyer has nominated former president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and a colleague for the Nobel Peace Prize for their role in brokering a peace deal between Arab countries and Israel.

According to Reuters, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and his adviser have been nominated for the Nobel Prize by lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who is a lawyer for Donald Trump and teaches law at the university.

The lawyer nominated the two men to play a significant role in the Abraham Accords between the Arab countries and Israel between August and December 2020.

The “Abraham Accords” refers to the peace agreements between the Arab states of Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco, in which the US government acted as a mediator and Donald Trump represented the United States. Trump, his son-in-law and one of his advisers played a key role.

Under the agreements, Arab countries re-established diplomatic relations with the occupied Palestinian territories for the first time, including recognizing them.

Alan Dershowitz, a lawyer on Donald Trump’s legal team for his role in the Abraham Accords, wrote a letter to the Nobel Committee of Norway nominating Jared Kishner and his adviser, Avi Berkowitz, for the Nobel Prize.

In his letter, Alan Dershowitz praised the two men, including the Israeli ambassador to the United States and the US ambassador to Israel, but said that nominating the two ambassadors could lead to controversy.

The Nobel Committee will announce the winners in September or October 2021, after which the winners will be awarded on December 10.

Nobel laureates are considered members of the world’s parliaments, law professors, governors, legislators, prominent social figures, Nobel laureates and former members of the Nobel Prize committee. Can also nominate.
