Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has ordered stern legal action against those involved in fire incidents in the capital, Riyadh.
A statement on the Riyadh Governorate’s official Twitter account said that the Crown Prince had called for a review of the conditions for commercial activities in the affected area, for failing to comply with the fire and for those responsible for the encroachments, Prince also directed strict action.
The statement said Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Rahman, Riyadh’s deputy governor, said the fire in the capital showed administrative and financial corruption.
The deputy governor said that Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman had directed that the real causes of the fires in Riyadh be ascertained and strict legal action be taken against those involved in the blaze. The deputy governor said he had launched an investigation into the Riyadh arson attack and had sought the help of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
