World wide famous feminist author Nawal El-Saadawi has passed away on Sunday at the age of 89 in Egypt’s capital Cairo,
According to her family, Nawal el-Saadawi passed away after suffering a long illness.
Nawal el-Saadawi was known for her fierce personality who revolutionized discussions in the Arab world on gender and rose her voice for women’s empowerment in Egypt.
As per the details, the late author was once jailed by late president Anwar Sadat and also condemned by Al-Azhar, the highest Muslim authority in Egypt.
She had written more than 55 books on women and the problems they face. Her books include Woman at Point Zero, The Hidden Face Of Eve, Memoirs Of A Woman Doctor, A Daughter Of Isis, and many more.
