Donald Trump’s farewell address: We did what we came to do
President-elect Joe Biden will officially take oath in the inauguration ceremony today...
Former President Donald Trump said he has no plans to launch a new political party, saying it would split the Republican vote.
He was speaking at a conservative conference in Florida. He also hinted that he might take part in the 2024 election.
A cheering crowd of supporters welcomed him when he appeared on the stage at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Most of the people were seen without masks.
During the speech, he criticized President Joe Biden, saying US policy had gone from “America first to America last”.
He added, “I stand before you today to declare that the incredible journey we began together four years ago is far from over,”
“We are gathered this afternoon to talk about the future – the future of our movement, the future of our party, and the future of our beloved country.”
He also mentioned that he is not thinking about starting a new political party, calling the rumors “fake news.”
“Wouldn’t that be brilliant? Let’s start a new party so we can divide our vote and never win,” he joked.
“We have the Republican Party. It’s going to unite and be stronger than ever before.”
On the other hand, Donald Trump also repeated his false claims that Biden won November’s election due to electoral fraud. “Actually you know they just lost the White House. But who knows – who knows? I may even decide to beat them for a third time, OK?”
“We all knew that the Biden administration was going to be bad but none of us even imagined how just how bad they would be and how far left they would go,” he told the cheering crowd.
