Indian MLA roaming in underwear in train owing to ‘stomach upset’
A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Bihar, a state in India, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party was seen by passengers on train travel for roaming around in underwear and vest.
Indian MLA Gopal Mandal was walking in underwear in the AC First Class compartment of Tejas Rajdhani Express, a train bound from Patna to New Delhi.
The fellow passengers complained about the MLA’s display and it almost led to a quarrel. The Railway Police Force (RPF) and the ticket examiner had to step in.
Rajesh Kumar, Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO), East Central Railway said, “fellow passengers complained about the behaviour of MLA. The police and the ticket examiner persuaded both parties.”
MLA Gopal Mandal blamed his upset stomach for wearing such brief clothes.
Mr Mandal said, “I was in underwear and vest. I had just boarded the train and had an upset stomach. I do not lie.”
Photos of an Indian MLA roaming around the train coach in underwear and a white vest have been widely shared and gone viral on social media.
