A man named Daniel Padilla-Ang, called police helpline 911 on 26th March and reported that he has killed his girlfriend. The murder took place in Orem city of Utah (US), after an argument between the two over a broken vape.

Daniel, who later allegedly admitted his crime numerous time to police. He told that he choked his girlfriend Sandra Robles to death after she slapped him for breaking her vape.

Ang said in his confession, “I just strangled my girlfriend to death. She’s dead … It was me.” He added, “She had come to my apartment the day before and we consumed alcohol that night.”

Daniel further told that he wanted to use his girlfriend’s vape pen, however, she refused. He then furiously snatched the vape out of her hand and broke it. The girl slapped and pushed him in anger, after which Daniel strangled her to death. After she passed out, he started punching her.

“He put his hands over (her) mouth and pinched her nose to see if she was still breathing. When she did not struggle, he knew she was dead,” the report says.

He drank more alcohol and sent a text message to his family “just killed someone and that he wouldn’t be seeing them for a while.”

Daniel Padilla-Ang is being in police custody without bail at a Utah County detention facility. He is also being detained on an ICE hold by Immigration Customs Enforcement, additional records show.
