Connerjack Oswalt, a teenager with autism, vanished three years ago in California, and recently found alive outside of a gas station in Utah.

The kid went missing in Clearlake on September 28, 2019. He was 16 at that time.

He was reported missing to the Clearlake Police Department.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office found him outside of Jeremy’s Store.

Lt. Andrew Wright with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said, “It boggles all of our minds.”

He added, “It’s just a really miraculous discovery if you will.”

Previously, residents began calling the sheriff’s office, reporting a homeless person pushing a cart.

Deputies made contact with him a lot of times and offered their help, but he always refused and would not give his name, Wright said.

A person called the sheriff on April 9. He told that the young guy was sleeping outside a gas station.

When they arrives, the person was cold, they helped him warm up. And took his fingerprint.

They got a hit for an arrest warrant out of Nevada for assault on a police officer, according to Wright. The warrant was issued in February but misspelt Oswalt’s last name.

Deputies did some digging to the case, and came to know that Clearlake police and Oswalt’s mother were searching for him.

Upon knowing, his family drove from Idaho falls to Utah to meet their kid.

Police said that he might be a runaway. The details remain unambiguous.
