Ukraine’s economy shrank by 45.1% amid Russia’s invasion
The Ukraine war continues to have an influence on the global economy,...
On Monday, Croatia informed the Russian ambassador of a decrease in the number of diplomatic and administrative workers at the Russian Embassy.
“Eighteen diplomats and six members of administrative staff (24 employees in total) at the Embassy of the Russian Federation have been asked to leave the Republic of Croatia,” the statement said.
Croatia has therefore joined other European nations in removing Russian ambassadors in response to Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, including Poland, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Slovenia, a neighbouring country, will remove 33 Russian diplomats.
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs condemned “the brutal aggression on Ukraine and numerous war crimes committed” once more.
Russia was once again urged to quickly halt its military operations, withdraw its forces from Ukraine’s entire territory, and secure evacuation and humanitarian supply channels.
Croatia also urged Russia to prosecute individuals responsible for war crimes.
