Actor Chadwick Boseman, who is renowned for his role as ‘Black Panther’...
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, respond after Saudi Arabian billionaire Prince Alawaleed bin Talal turned down his offer to buy Twitter for $43 billion.
“I don’t believe @elonmusk’s suggested offer ($54.20) comes close to @Twitter’s intrinsic value considering its growth possibilities,” Alaweed tweeted. “As one of Twitter’s largest and longest-standing shareholders, [Kingdom Holding Company] and I reject this offer.”
Alaweed owns 4.45 percent of Twitter, while his firm, Kingdom Holding, owns 0.72 percent of the corporation.
Musk answered with a witty tweet, “Interesting.” “Please allow me to ask two questions.if I may. How much of Twitter does the Kingdom own, directly & indirectly? What are the Kingdom’s views on journalistic freedom of speech?”
According to the US State Department, Saudi Arabian legislation does not provide for freedom of expression or freedom of the press.
I don’t believe that the proposed offer by @elonmusk ($54.20) comes close to the intrinsic value of @Twitter given its growth prospects.
