According to reports, a 60-year-old man in Germany got hundreds of doses of COVID-19 vaccine before selling fake vaccination cards with legitimate vaccine batch numbers to others who didn’t want to receive the shot.

When criminal police captured him earlier this month in the eastern German state of Saxony, the guy from Magdeburg — whose identity was withheld due to German privacy laws — was alleged to have gotten up to 90 injections against COVID-19 at vaccination sites in that region for months.

Forgery and unlawful vaccination card distribution are among the charges against the individual, who was not detained.

When he came up for his COVID-19 shot in Eilenburg, Saxony, for the second day in a row, he was apprehended. Several blank vaccination cards were seized from him by the police, who then began criminal procedures against him.

It was not immediately obvious how many doses of COVID-19 vaccinations from different brands had an effect on the man’s health.

In recent months, German authorities have carried out a number of searches in relation with vaccination passport forgeries. Covid-19 denialists desire the coveted COVID-19 passports that make public life and venues such as restaurants, theaters, and swimming pools simpler, but they refuse to be vaccinated in Germany.

On Friday, numerous steps to control the pandemic in Germany came to an end, despite the country’s continued high infection rates. Masks are no longer required in grocery shops or most cinemas, although they are still required on the subway.
