The Russian News Agencies in Moscow claimed that the Russian missile cruiser Moskva sank as it was being towed back to port.

Ukraine’s armed forces also reported about the flagship of Moscow’s Black Sea fleet had been hit by missiles.

Ukraine’s military says the ship was hit by “Neptune” anti-ship cruise missiles, resulting in vital damage and fire. Russia had reported localized fires aboard that caused ammunition to detonate.

The Moskva typically has a crew approaching 500. Russian news agencies reported that they had been evacuated.
