According to the Daily Mail, a recent video shows several brave beachgoers rescuing a shark in Perth after it became stuck in the sand and began to die a lingering death.

A shark was rescued from the sand on the beach by brave beachgoers in Perth, Australia. The boys pushed the shark back into the water by its tail.

The shark swam away as soon as it was able to dig deep enough into the water, escaping death by a hair’s breadth.
A family’s boat was encircled and threatened by one Great white shark last month off the coast of Perth, indicating that shark populations had exploded along Australia’s coasts.

The footage of the incident has elicited various reactions.
