According to the report of International Organization for Migration, more than 7.7 million people in Ukraine have been internally displaced, after being forced to escape, since the invasion.
A report by Ukraine Internal Displacement, revealed on Thursday that the number of people displaced, has risen to at least 17.5%.
The figure is more than one in six, as of Ukraine’s prewar population.
At least 60% of displaced people include women, as per the latest survey conducted between April 11 and April 17.
There has been a deficiency of food.
While, 28% families said that they faced difficulties in getting food for their children, according to IOM.
IOM Director General, António Vitorino stated, “Women and children, the elderly, and people with disabilities have been disproportionately affected as they all represent a highly vulnerable group of people.”
More than five million refugees have left Ukraine for neighboring countries.
And a total of at least 12.7 million people have been displaced since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, says, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
