PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan: Security forces in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan province captured three drug traffickers with illegal substances on Wednesday, according to a provincial source.
“The Baghlan police arrested three men in Khinjan district, Baghlan province. The suspects tried to transport 12 kg of hashish to Kabul province and the drug was confiscated, ” An investigation is underway, according to Mustafa Hashimi, the head of the provincial information and culture department.
The Taliban-led caretaker government in Afghanistan has committed to eradicating poppy planting and opium trafficking in the war-torn country.
