A sprinter is dead after falling from exhaustion toward the end goal of the yearly Brooklyn Half Marathon Saturday, specialists said.

The 30-year-old sprinter, who was not recognized, was crossing the end goal and imploded. FDNY representative Frank Dwyer told The Associated Press the sprinter was moved to a close-by clinic and articulated dead.

Dwyer said undoubtedly six different sprinters were moved to a medical clinic.

Temperatures 20-30 degrees better than expected were normal across the East Coast, with numerous areas seeing highs during the 90s from the mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley into the Northeast and New England, as per FOX Weather.

The National Weather Service of New York gave an intensity warning for parts of the locale, with temperatures climbing into the 80s and 90s. An air quality alarm was likewise active for a large part of the area until around 11 p.m. E.T.

The reason for the death of the sprinter was not promptly known. An NYPD representative told the New York Post the sprinter perhaps experienced heart failure.

In excess of 22,000 sprinters assembled in Brooklyn for the 13.1-mile race, which started in Prospect Park and finished at the Coney Island promenade. It is the first time in quite a while the yearly occasion arrived at full limit.
