Mhairi Black, an SNP member, apologized for drinking on the train
Mhairi Black, a member of the Scottish National Party, has apologized for being caught on camera drinking lager on a ScotRail train despite the fact that alcohol is prohibited.
The Paisley and Renfrewshire South MP was photographed drinking from a can while surrounded by football supporters.
The video was first posted on Spectator magazine’s website, where it was said that it was shot on a train departing Glasgow Central following an Ayr United vs. Partick Thistle football match.
On April 1, when ScotRail’s train franchise was nationalized, the prohibition on alcohol on board was extended.
According to a representative for the MP, Mhairi has been reminded of the regulations and apologizes.
Nicola Sturgeon was asked about the MP’s apology while campaigning in Edinburgh for the upcoming local elections.
According to the First Minister, Ms. Mhairi Black was not told of the occurrence.
“She’s apologized, and I’m sure she’ll be deeply sorry for making that mistake,” she said.
“However, she has аpologized аnd done the right thing, аnd I know Mhаiri tаkes her own behаvior аnd integrity very seriously.”
Later, she told journalists that she didn’t think ScotRаil’s alcohol ban should be removed.
