Dr. Shannon Curry, a forensic psychologist, is continuing her testimony, challenging information offered by Dr. Dawn Hughes, another psychologist.

Dr. Hughes’ diagnosis of Amber Heard suffering from PTSD as a result of alleged assault by Johnny Depp does not sit well with her.

Dr. Curry is testifying as a rebuttal witness for the second time.

Previously, he told the jury that Heard had “histrionic and borderline personality disorders” as well as “grossly inflated symptoms of PTSD.”

“Feigning is exaggerating symptoms of an illness,” she explains in court today, adding that Heard received a high score for this.”

Dr. Hughes, she claims, “misrepresented” tests and results that she utilized in her assessment of the actor.

“There was no evidence of PTSD” after Dr. Curry observed Heard’s behavior for 12 hours and reviewed “copious” records from former therapists, as well as the legal paperwork.

Because PTSD is “very disabling,” she says, clinicians would seek for “identifiable changes” in a person.

She goes on: “It is impossible for someone with true PTSD to work… It causes significant distress and impairment… extreme alcoholism… They become confined to their homes… They are very never seen at events, and their film careers are usually unsuccessful.”

Here is our report on Dr. Curry’s first appearance as a witness; our report on Dr. Hughes’ appearance can be found in the 2.34pm article.
