Texas school shooting: According to officials, an active shooter was reported at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing 19 children and two adults. According to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, the shooter also died.

Salvador Ramos, 18, has been identified as the shooter. Mr. Abbott stated that Ramos carried out the mass shooting “horriblyhorrifically and incomprehensibly” before being shot dead by law officials.

According to Mr Abbott, Ramos was a student at Uvalde High School in the little city 130 kilometres (80 miles) west of San Antonio.

Following the shooting massacre, President Biden addressed the nation that it was time to “turn this pain into action” and tighten gun regulations.

“Why are we willing to live with this carnage?” he said at the White House. “Where in God’s name is our backbone, to have the courage to deal with this and stand up to the [gun] lobbies?”
