- 136 passengers have been evacuated; the cause of the accident is being investigated by Chinese officials.
- The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
BEIGING: As per China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., a bullet train derailed at around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province, killing one train driver and injuring eight others.

One train conductor and seven passengers were among those injured. They’ve been receiving care at a nearby hospital.
