Catholic Bishops issued a statement on Wednesday denouncing the proposed amendments to Title IX that were made by the administration of Vice President Joe Biden.

In a letter that was sent via their communications department, the USCCB provided feedback on the suggestions made by President Biden.
Bishop Thomas Daly of Spokane, Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York, and Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco opposed the incorporation of gender theory, transgenderism, sexuality, and abortion into Title IX. They warned that it could “ironically” harm the women that it was meant to protect.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) noted in their statement that “the 701-page proposed rule presented last week includes several issues of concern to the Church and her ministries, to the faithful, and to the common good.” It is not totally apparent what the full meaning of these clauses is, and it will take further thorough research to fully understand their implications.
