The Kuwaiti Council of Ministers has declared a nine-day holiday for Eid al-Adha, according to Kuwait news agency.

As per the notification, all public institutions, ministries, and government organisations will be closed from July 10 to July 14.

Because Kuwait has a Friday and Saturday weekend, the public sector will get a total of nine days off.

Eid al-Adha occurs on the tenth day of the Islamic calendar’s final month, Zul Hijjah.

The entire month is holy, featuring a number of days that are significant to Muslims.

Dhu Al Hijjah is a 29 or 30 day month that literally translates to “Possessor of the Pilgrimage” or “Pilgrimage Month.”

The Arabic phrase Al Udhiya, which signifies animal sacrifice, is the source of the name Eid Al Adha.

The UAE’s Eid Al Adha holiday began on Monday, July 19 and ended on Thursday, July 22 last year.
