Adidas confirmed on Thursday that it had opened an investigation into claims of inappropriate behaviour made against Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West.

Adidas, one of numerous businesses that severed relations with Ye after the musician made a series of anti-Semitic remarks, claimed it opened an investigation after reading an anonymous letter that made accusations against him.

Adidas issued a statement saying, “At this time, it is unclear whether the allegations mentioned in an anonymous letter are real. “However, we have decided to immediately begin an independent investigation into the matter to address the complaints because we take them very seriously.

Following charges of unethical behaviour by Ye toward staff members and potential employees in Rolling Stone magazine, including claims that the rapper had given staffers nude images of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, the statement was made.

According to the magazine, a number of former employees complained anonymously to Adidas that senior executives had “turned a blind eye” to Ye’s actions. We have not yet validated the letter.

Adidas also mentioned in their statement that it severed ties with Ye following his anti-Semitic remarks last month.

“Adidas has ended the adidas Yeezy collaboration because it does not accept hate speech or harmful behaviour, “It said. “We have had and will continue to have open discussions with our staff about the circumstances that led to our decision to dissolve the cooperation. As we hash through the specifics of the termination, they have our unwavering support.”

Balenciaga and well-known talent agency CAA were two more businesses that severed ties with Ye due to his remarks.

After being criticised on social media after an anti-Semitic hate organisation hung a banner reading “Kanye is right about the Jews” over a Los Angeles freeway on Saturday, Adidas joined in the decision. Other celebrities, social media users, and local lawmakers have condemned the act.

Ye had his Instagram and Twitter accounts temporarily suspended after publishing anti-Semitic remarks.

According to documents, Ye also settled with a former worker who claimed that he had used anti-Semitic words at work. Meanwhile, a number of people who had interacted professionally with the artist during the previous five years claimed to have overheard him praising Adolf Hitler or bringing up Jewish conspiracy ideas.
