In Gaza, Palestinian health officials warn that the lives of many infants at Al-Shifa hospital are in jeopardy due to the depletion of fuel, halting critical operations.

A surgeon in the hospital revealed to the media that essential resources like water, fuel, and electricity have all been exhausted, with people trapped inside amid constant bombardment.

Israel alleges that Hamas is using the hospital for military purposes, a claim denied by Hamas.

The specific number of at-risk babies in the neo-natal unit is uncertain, with conflicting reports from the Gazan health ministry (45) and the Palestinian health ministry in the West Bank (39).

What is evident is that numerous newborns urgently need care that is currently unattainable.
