According to the air force, on Saturday, 30 out of 31 Russian drones were shot down by Ukraine’s air defense and mobile drone hunting groups across 11 different regions of the nation.

According to Reuters witnesses, there were several explosions that shook the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv as air defense units fought Russian drones.

“This is the sixth air attack on Kyiv since the start of the month,” said Serhiy Popko, head of the city’s military administration.

“Tonight, after three days of ballistic threats, the enemy again launched Shaheds on the capital. The drones attacked in groups, in waves, and from different directions,” Popko said.

According to Popko, no serious injuries or damage was recorded in Kyiv.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian military fired Iranian-made Shahed drones from three separate angles into Russia, aiming at eleven distinct areas in the country’s north, center, and south.

The Russian drone strike was repulsed, according to an air force statement posted on the messaging app Telegram. The air force’s response included fighter jets, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile drone hunting fire groups.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, anti-aircraft troops were activated as Russian drone groups flew over the city’s periphery and targeted sites close to the city center.

According to Klitschko, there was a lot of anti-aircraft activity in the Darnytskyi neighborhood on the Dnipro’s east bank, and there were also explosions in the ancient Podil on the opposite bank.

Just after midnight, witnesses for Reuters reported hearing massive explosions. For the next forty-five minutes, there were other explosions in the vicinity of Kyiv’s central districts.

In many areas of Ukraine, there were overnight air alarms for almost five hours.

The frequency of Russian drone assaults on Ukrainian cities and regions has increased. According to Ukrainian officials, Russia is attacking the country’s energy and electricity infrastructure both during and before the crucially cold winter months.
