Arrangements for the upcoming Hajj season in Saudi Arabia are now complete, with the General Authority for Roads finishing wide-ranging work on the roads leading to Makkah. The main purpose of these efforts is to make the hajj experience better for all those participating. They’ve done a lot of work, enlightening a total of 4,000 kilometers of roads.

The developments include setting up 158 kilometers of roads, filling in cracks and potholes in 403 places, tidying up the edges of roads along 2,361 kilometers, clearing away 1,240 cubic meters of sand from dunes, and cleaning up streams at 421 locations.

These advancements are meant to certify that pilgrims have a smooth and comfortable journey as they make their holy trip.

The kingdom’s road network is highly observed by the World Bank for being well-connected, and it plays a vital role in making sure people can travel safely to the holy sites.

To double-check that all is good to go, Eng Bader Al Dalami, the interim CEO of the General Authority for Roads, went on checkup tour covering more than 2,000 kilometers of roads leading to important religious destinations.
