At least 35 Palestinians were killed early Thursday in Israeli airstrikes targeting various locations in the Gaza Strip.
Among the casualties were children and women, with seven killed when a residential building on Gaza City’s al-Jalaa Street was bombed. Another 15 died in an airstrike on a house sheltering displaced individuals west of Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.
In Rafah, southern Gaza, a strike killed 13 Palestinians and injured others, including aid workers. Medics reported that 30 more were wounded in the attack, with several in critical condition. In Khan Younis, another airstrike injured members of a security team overseeing aid shipments. The Israeli military has not commented on the strikes.
Armed gangs in Gaza have repeatedly hijacked aid trucks, leading Hamas to create a task force to address the issue. Hamas sources stated that the group has killed over two dozen gang members in recent months. Since the war began on October 7, 2023, Hamas claims Israeli airstrikes have killed 700 police responsible for protecting aid deliveries.
