Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has expanded its Bus-On-Demand service to include Oud Metha and Barsha Heights, catering to the growing demand for efficient and convenient transportation. This expansion aims to enhance daily mobility while improving traffic flow across the emirate.

Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, highlighted that the Bus-On-Demand service is a seamless and cost-effective mobility solution in Dubai, a city witnessing rapid population growth.

He emphasized that the service helps address traffic congestion challenges while remaining affordable at just AED 5 per trip per person.

Shakri further noted that in response to increasing demand, RTA has expanded the service to cover 10 key areas across Dubai.

Previously available in locations such as Al Barsha, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Al Nahda, the service was extended to Business Bay in February last year and Downtown Dubai at the end of 2024.
