Donald Trump summons emergency National Security Council for the meeting after Iran recent attack
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. President Donald Trump has convened an emergency session of the National Security Council (NSC) at the White House’s West Wing, following the launch of a large-scale Iranian operation named “Basharat al-Fath” targeting American military bases in the Middle East.
The meeting has gained extraordinary importance as Iran escalates its actions in the region. Trump is currently present inside the West Wing, confirmed by the deployment of a Marine Guard at the entrance—an official protocol that signals the President’s presence in the building.
Before the meeting, the White House issued a statement suggesting that President Trump is raising questions about a possible regime change in Iran. However, no final position has been taken on the matter.
The NSC session will review Iran’s recent actions along with other global threats. Senior U.S. officials, military commanders, and diplomats are attending the meeting to assess the situation and consider potential adjustments to U.S. national security policy.
