Heavy rainfall hit New York City on October 30, claiming the lives of at least two people.

According to local media, a 39-year-old man died in a flooded basement in Brooklyn, while a 43-year-old man was found dead in a boiler room in Manhattan.

The city’s emergency management reported that rainfall levels reached record highs in some areas. Central Park recorded 45.7 mm of rain, and LaGuardia Airport saw 50 mm, both exceeding the records set in 1917 and 1955.

As a result of the heavy rain, many streets and subway stations were flooded. Water also entered the lower floors of some homes, causing inconvenience to residents.
