At the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations in the city, thousands of people lined the streets of London to ring in the Year of the Rabbit.

Prior to the performers taking the stage in front of the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, dancers and dragons joined a march through Chinatown.

Additionally, demonstrations of martial arts, musical performances, and cultural events were held in the streets of the West End.

This celebration of Chinese New Year is the largest one outside of Asia.

According to Chinese astrology, the year of the rabbit, which happens once every twelve years, is the luckiest of the twelve animals.

If your birthday falls in the following range, you are a Rabbit: 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, or 2035.

Although their negative characteristics include being too careful and egotistical, those born in the year of the rabbit are thought to be intelligent, sympathetic, and kind.

Chinese New Year’s beginnings are believed to have occurred during the Shang dynasty’s dominance in the 14th century BC.
