Tunisian judges have gone on strike for a week to protest President Kais Saied’s “intervention” in the court. Only days after he fired 57 of their colleagues, accusing them of corruption and sheltering “terrorists.” The strike, which started on Monday, is the latest in a series of escalating actions by Tunisian lawmakers, institutions, and civil society as the country’s political crisis worsens.
