The IPL 2020 match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) became intense when DC decided to bat first and made only 157 runs with 8 outs. Marcus Stoinis was the only player to save the DC team from a batting collapse as he made 53 runs off 21 balls.

Shikhar Dhawan was ducked out in the second over. Prithvi Shaw (5) and Shimron Hetmyer were both got out by Mohammed Shami. DC players Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer came to rescue the team, but young leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi took his first wicket of the IPL.

To sink DC into a hole, Shami once again came to attack the team and bowled Iyer out. KXIP bowler Sheldon Cottrell took his first wicket for the team.
