ChatGPT’s dominance is now under threat as Google has introduced its latest advanced model, Gemini 3. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has declared a “Code Red” within the company.
According to a report published by The Wall Street Journal, this decision came after Google’s newest Gemini model not only surpassed OpenAI on major benchmarks but also pushed Google’s stock price significantly higher.
Google has intensified the AI race, and in order to stay ahead, OpenAI has decided to take immediate action.

Following the introduction of the Gemini 3 model and Nano Banana, Google’s user base has grown rapidly. According to the company, the number of active users increased from 450 million in July to 650 million by October.
OpenAI now faces stiff competition not only from Google but also from Anthropic, whose AI models have gained strong popularity among business enterprises.
