ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu has said that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) decisively defeated the enemy during Operation Bunyan al-Marsous, successfully destroying its defence systems on May 10.
Addressing the passing-out parade at PAF Academy Risalpur, the Air Chief said the victory in the “Marka e Haq” reflected the exceptional performance and operational excellence of the Pakistan Air Force.
He stated that when Pakistan’s sovereignty was challenged on the night of May 6 and 7, the PAF responded forcefully, shooting down the enemy’s modern fighter jets, including Rafale aircraft. “On May 10, we successfully targeted the enemy’s defence systems. In Operation Bunyan al-Marsous, Pakistan established clear superiority in cyber warfare,” he added.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasised that Pakistan’s integrity would never be compromised. “The much-hyped capabilities of Rafale jets proved to be zero in front of the PAF. Our response was swift, precise and effective. In today’s modern warfare environment, the PAF stands fully equipped with professional excellence.”
He added that the PAF could have inflicted far greater damage, but as a professional force, its actions were calculated and aimed solely at securing peace with dignity.
The Air Chief said the PAF’s success and technological edge during the battle have been recognised globally, with international defence circles studying the operation.
“Every airman and officer of the PAF is always ready to defend the nation. Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir played a crucial leadership role in the Marka e Haq,” he noted.
He reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation, but any challenge to its desire for peace would be met with a strong response. “We are a responsible nuclear power, and the trust of the nation strengthens our resolve.”
