The endeavor was unexpectedly bloody, according to an Idaho guy who set a Guinness World Record by capturing 49 apples with his teeth in one minute.
The apples were hurled from 15 feet away by regular collaborator Jonathan Hannon, according to David Rush, who has broken more than 200 Guinness records to promote STEM education.
Rush claimed that getting hit in the face by stray apples, even the little apples he was using for the record, was excruciatingly painful because his teeth would cut the insides of his lips and cheeks.
According to Rush, the record included more bleeding than the overwhelming bulk of his prior work.
In one minute, he caught 49 apples, breaking the previous record of 47.
