
Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) Karachi has imposed ban on the food vendors for a week along the Clifton coast owing to cleaning campaign.
According to spokeswoman Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC), the cleanup campaign aims to highlight the beauty of the coast.
Camels and horses riding and desert safaris will also be prohibited.
The beach cleanup campaign will run from September 18 to September 24.
Carelessness was being observed by sellers who sell various food items along the coast.
Sellers will not be allowed to install tent on the beach.
Citizens will be allowed to visit sea view during cleaning campaign.
Earlier Authorities ran into action after wife of former cricketer, captain of Pakistan national cricket team, Wasim Akram, took her twitter handle to to draw attention of the concerned authorities to the alarming situation at Karachi’s Clifton beach.

Shaniera Akram, wife of Wasim Akram requested the authorities to close down the beach for the public until it is safe.
“I have walked on Clifton beach every day for the last 4 years and I have never been scared until today,” she wrote.
Sharing multiple photos, Shaniera stated that, “Medical waste, syringes, vials of blood that has come in from the ocean has spread across Clifton beach for kilometers. The beach is bio-hazardous and in a state of emergency.”
