I bid farewell to showbiz says Shaista Lodhi

One of the leading morning show host Shaista Lodhi left showbiz very quietly.

In the latest episode of popular YouTube show Rewind with Samina Peerzada, Shaista opened up about her life-changing experiences and why she has bid farewell to showbiz.

She said that she was doing morning show for so long and she felt that somehow, somewhere she had lost her own self.

The former host said “There were so much glitz and glamour, and such a fast pace on everything that even in my normal routine I found myself always in a haste, always restless,” she added.

Shaista revealed that in 2014 when she took a break from the morning show, following a controversy of her then channel, she decided to take up her half-completed medical studies. Albeit that she was a doctor, it was at that time she fully resumed her practice to manage both the professions simultaneously.

Shaista explained that as a morning show host, how she missed on small milestones of her children which could now be her memories, she expressed regret over wasting precious years of her life for the momentary gain.

She further said that she had to think of how she will send her kids to school, how to give them a better life.

She truthfully stated “At that point, sticking to the job only made sense to me, or so I explain myself now.”

Talking about the failure of her first marriage, Shaista Lodhi said that her ex-husband was a wonderful person and also a good father, but for some reason, both of us had parted ways, she stated.

While talking about her second husband Shaista Lodhi said that Adnan was her cousin, so her children had no problem adjusting with her second husband.

She further stated “I feel like I must have done something good in my life that I had found a husband like Adnan.”

Shaista Lodhi is a well-known name in the Pakistani showbiz industry who has shown her talent in the drama industry as well as hosting Morning Show.
