Dengue fever is continuing to take a toll on people in Punjab as eight more patients have been diagnosed with the disease in Allied Hospital.

According to details, most of the cases were reported in Punjab as more than 2900 patients have been affected all over the province.

More patients were admitted in the Allied hospital of Faisalabad, of which Tanveer, Anshar, Asmaa Anshar, Nazeer Ahmad, Suhail Abbas, Shahbaz, Dildar and Faisal are included.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tandlianwala Muhammad Aurangzeb monitored the dengue arrangements in graveyards, Tyre shops and garbage cans and checked the surveillance activities.

Dengue cases have been increased across the country, dengue virus has been diagnosed in patients brought to public and private hospitals in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Sindh and new cases have also been reported.

According to the details, most cases of dengue have been reported in Punjab. This year, the number of patients has increased to 2900 across Punjab.

Multan

According to the Health Department of Punjab, the number of patients affected by dengue has increased to 18 in Multan. The Nishtar hospital administration said that 9 patients admitted to the isolation ward have been diagnosed with dengue fever and are being provided medical assistance.

Spokesperson of the Health Department said that the reports of seven more patients are yet to come while 5 patients were discharged from Nishtar Hospital after recovery.

Rahim Yarkhan

One dengue patient died in Rahim Yar Khan. 45 year old Abdul Razzaq, of Sadiqpur, Khanpur area, was taken to the THQ Hospital for treatment in a critical condition, where he was referred to Sheikh Zayed Hospital where he received the treatment in the emergency ward but unfortunately he couldn’t survive.

Lahore

405 new cases of dengue have been reported in 24 hours at Government Hospital, Lahore.

According to the Health Department Punjab, 156 cases of dengue have been reported in Rawalpindi, 210 in Islamabad, 10 patients are from Lahore, 4 from Sargodha and 5 from Mandi Bahauddin.

In addition, 28 people from Chakwal, 23 patients from Faisalabad, 22 from Sargodhas, were reported.

Peshawar

Dengue virus has been confirmed in 161 more persons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the number of dengue cases in the province reached 2942 this year.

In Peshawar, more than 89 dengue patients have been admitted to the public hospital in 24 hours. Dengue virus has been confirmed In 64 new patients.
